Michaela Athanasiou

My name is Michaela Athanasiou, and I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist working in the private sector. I have the privilege of being part of the lives and daily routines of children with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges. I am specialized in the assessment and intervention of children with sensory processing difficulties through Ayres Sensory Integration®. In addition, I have completed training in DIR®/Floortime (101,201) and hold further specialization in working with children with dysgraphia, dyspraxia, and executive functioning difficulties. My goal is for every child to become functional and able to cope successfully with all the challenges of daily life. Equally important to me is collaboration with the family, the school, and other professionals involved in the child’s life, in order to ensure a consistent, holistic, and supportive environment that promotes progress and meaningful participation in daily life.
